Denmark is located in Northern Europe, and is part of Scandinavia. The country is also – along with

Norway and Sweden   – The geographical area in Scandinavia. The population is at well over 5.6 million (2010).

Denmark borders Germany   to the south, and also has coastline on the North Sea, Skagerrak, Kattegat and the Baltic Sea. In addition to the peninsula of Jutland, the country consists of a number of large and small islands, Zealand is the largest. Where is the capital Copenhagen, with suburbs has around 1.2 million inhabitants. Other major cities in   Denmark is Aarhus, Aalborg and Esbjerg (all in Jutland) and Odense on the island of Fyn.

The largest and most famous islands are otherwise Fyn, Lolland, Falster and Bornholm. The latter is Baltic Sea – from Skåne in Sweden and Germany / Poland .Nature in Denmark consists predominantly of a relatively flat slope landscape – with dunes along much of the coast.

The Kingdom of Denmark also includes Greenland and the Faroe Islands, both with a degree of autonomy.

Among the main tourist attractions in Denmark are several major amusement parks, open air museums and Castle. Many of the castles are suitable for accommodation. Otherwise, beaches, especially along the west coast of Jutland, very popular.

Denmark’s main airport is Copenhagen Airport – Kastrup , located on Amager just outside the capital. It is also the largest airport.
