Tampere-Pirkkala Airport (TMP) is located 17 kilometers southwest of Tampere – and is the second busiest international airport in Finland. It serves about 710,000 passengers annually. Tampere-Pirkkala Airport has two terminals.
From the airport there are regular flights to Helsinki (Finncom Airlines), Turku and Oulu (Wingo), Stockholm (Blue 1), Copenhagen (SAS), Riga (Baltic Air) – and some routes to Bremen, Frankfurt, London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Milan (Ryanair).
There are buses with frequent service between the airport and the railway station in Tampere. Alternative means of travel is taxi. If you want to rent a car, there are several possibilities.
