Krabi is located at the mouth of the river with the same name as the city – specifically at the Thai south coast. The population is around 25,000 (2010).
Although some tourists stop in Krabi, the town is primarily a hub for tourists to popular destinations such as Ko Phi Phi, Ko Jum, Rai Leh Beach and Phuket.
However, there are many good reasons to choose Krabi holiday destination. Since the city is located slightly off the main tourist stream is also less traffic generating, the pace is quieter and prices lower.
