Manchester, located in northwest England – On the River Irwell, and the city has about 500,000 inhabitants (2011).When the entire city region “Greater Manchester”, the population is increasing to 2.5 million. Manchester is an important commercial and cultural center that also has a significant banking and finance.
The city is perhaps best known for its two football clubs – Manchester City and Manchester United. The home stadium of Manchester United, Old Trafford, is a major tourist attraction – where you can get a guided tour.
