Tanger (Tangier) Inn Battouta International Airport (TNG) located in northern Morocco, about 15 km southwest of the city of Tangier.The airport was formerly known as Tangier Boukhalef Airport.
The airport was opened in 1958 and currently has two terminal buildings. Terminal 2 opened in 2008. Tangier Airport serves about 850,000 passengers annually (2011).
Tangier Airport is the base for airlines Air Arabia Maroc and Royal Air Maroc. Several other airlines also have direct flights from here to European destinations – including to London, Amsterdam, Paris and Madrid.
Facilities at the airport include restaurants, cafes, duty-free shops, ATMs, banking, information counter, business lounge and medical center (open 24 hours)
There are no hotels at the airport, but several in the area.
