Vilamoura is not a city, but the name of an area of the southern Portuguese Algarve coast – specifically, between the towns of Faro and Albufeira.Vilamoura is one of the Algarve’s most popular tourist destination and is best known for its large marina and its beautiful sandy beaches, where Vilamoura Beach and Falesia are the most popular.
In Vilamoura area are also several archaeological finds from the Bronze Age – primarily graves.This shows that people have lived in this region for thousands of years.
